Title: The Power of Education

Ladies and gentlemen,

Today, I stand before you to talk about the power of education. Education is not just about gaining knowledge; it is a tool that can transform lives and shape the future. It has the ability to break barriers, bridge gaps, and empower individuals to achieve their dreams.

Education is a fundamental human right that should be accessible to all. Unfortunately, many people around the world are denied this right due to various reasons such as poverty, gender inequality, and conflict. As a result, millions of children are unable to attend school and are deprived of the opportunities that education brings.

Education is not only important for personal development but also for the progress of society as a whole. It equips individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to contribute to their communities and drive social and economic growth. Education empowers individuals to think critically, solve problems, and make informed decisions. It is through education that innovations are born, societies are transformed, and progress is achieved.

Furthermore, education plays a crucial role in promoting equality and reducing poverty. It has the power to break the cycle of poverty by providing individuals with the tools they need to secure better job opportunities and improve their living conditions. By investing in education, governments and organizations can create a more inclusive and equitable society where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

However, despite the importance of education, many challenges still exist. Access to quality education remains a challenge in many parts of the world, especially in developing countries. Additionally, gender inequality in education continues to persist, with girls often facing barriers such as early marriage, cultural norms, and lack of resources.

We must work together to address these challenges and ensure that every child, regardless of their background or circumstances, has access to quality education. Governments, international organizations, and individuals all have a role to play in advancing the power of education.

In conclusion, education is not just a privilege; it is a right that should be accessible to all. It has the power to transform lives, promote equality, and drive progress. Let us join hands and work towards a world where every child has the opportunity to receive a quality education, unlocking their full potential and creating a brighter future for all.

Thank you.

Title: The Importance of Mental Health Awareness

Ladies and gentlemen,

Today, I would like to talk to you about the importance of mental health awareness. Mental health is a crucial aspect of our overall well-being, yet it is often overlooked and stigmatized. It is time to break the silence and create a society where mental health is valued, understood, and supported.

Mental health issues affect millions of people worldwide, regardless of age, gender, or background. Depression, anxiety, and other mental illnesses can have a profound impact on individuals, their families, and society as a whole. However, due to the lack of awareness and understanding, many people suffer in silence, afraid to seek help or share their struggles.

We must strive to create a society where mental health is a priority. This begins with raising awareness and promoting understanding about mental health issues. Education is key in breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health and encouraging open conversations. By providing accurate information and dispelling misconceptions, we can create a supportive environment where individuals feel comfortable seeking help and support.

Furthermore, it is essential to provide accessible and affordable mental health services. Many individuals are unable to access the care they need due to financial barriers or lack of resources. Governments, healthcare providers, and communities must work together to ensure that mental health services are available to all, regardless of their socioeconomic status.

In addition to professional support, we must also emphasize the importance of self-care and mental well-being. Encouraging individuals to prioritize their mental health and engage in activities that promote well-being can have a significant impact on their overall happiness and resilience. Small steps such as practicing mindfulness, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and seeking social support can go a long way in preventing mental health issues and promoting overall well-being.

Lastly, we must continue to advocate for policies and legislation that prioritize mental health. This includes increased funding for mental health services, improved access to care, and policies that protect the rights and dignity of individuals with mental health conditions. By advocating for change at all levels, we can create a society where mental health is valued and supported.

In conclusion, mental health awareness is crucial for the well-being of individuals and society as a whole. By raising awareness, promoting understanding, and providing accessible support, we can break the stigma surrounding mental health and create a society where everyone can thrive. Let us join hands and work towards a future where mental health is prioritized, and no one is left behind.

Thank you.

Before we visit the restaurant and taste the delicious food, I would liketo tell you something about the slow-cooked soup.

Enjoying a good fame in China and abroad, Cantonese cuisine is one of thefour major traditional cuisines in China. In general, Cantonese cuisine ischaracterized by its different and special ingredients and its fine making. Forthis reason, the Cantonese food tastes fresh, light and unique. When inGuangzhou, you cannot miss the nutritious and healthy slow-cooked soup, whichtakes five or six hours to cook. It is the unique charm and rich cooking culturethat have earned Cantonese cuisine a well-known saying—Eating in Guangzhou.

Steaming fish is a classical Guang Dong dish. It is famous for light, softand slippery taste. The material must be fresh, and the cook must control theheat to make sure the fish remain tender and pure. Put the fresh fish in the potto steam for 8 minutes with mild heat. Before the dish is finished, add a spoonof oil and some chopped green onion and a spoon of soy sauce, and then thesteaming fish is done. My father is very good at cooking this course. I reallylove the way he cook the fish, not only maintain the original flavors of thefish, but also provide with enough protein.

To be really happy and really safe, one ought to have at least two or three hobbies, and they must all be real. It is no use starting late in life to say: "I will take an interest in this or that."Such an attempt only aggravates the strain of mental effort. A man may acquire great knowledge of topics unconnected with his daily work, and yet hardly get any benefit or relief. It is no use doing what you like; you have got to like what you do. Broadly speaking, human beings may be pided into three classes : those who are toiled to death, those who are worried to death, and those who are bored to death...

It may also be said that rational, industrious, useful human beings are pided into two classes: first, those whose work is work and whose pleasure is pleasure; and secondly, those whose work and pleasure are one. Of these the former are the majority. They have their compensations. The long hours in the office or the factory bring with them as their reward, not only the means of sustenance, but a keen appetite for pleasure even in its simplest and most modest forms. But Fortune's favoured children belong to the second class. Their life is a natural harmony. For them the working hours are never long e- nough. Each day is a holiday, and ordinary holidays when they come are grudged as enforced interruptions in an absorbing vocation. Yet to both classes the need of an alternative outlook, of a change of atmosphere, of a persion of effort, is essential. Indeed, it may well be that those whose work is their pleasure are those who most need the means of banishing it at intervals from their minds.

The past ages of man have all been carefully labelled by anthropologists人类学家. Descriptions like "Palaeolithic Man". "Neolithic Man", etc., neatly sum up whole periods. When the time comes for anthropologists to turn their attention to the twentieth century, they will surely choose the label "Legless Man". Histories of the time will go something like this:" In the twentieth century, people forgot how to use their legs. Men and women moved about in cars, buses and trains from a very early age. There were lifts and escalators in all large building to prevent people from walking. This situation was forced upon earth-dwellers of that time because of their extraordinary way of life. In those days, people thought nothing of travelling hundreds of miles each day.But the surprising thing is that they didn't use their legs even when they went on holiday. They built cable railways, ski-lifts滑雪索道 and roads to the top of every huge mountain. All the beauty spots on earth were marred by the presence of large car parks."

The future history books might also record that we were deprived of the use of our eyes.In our hurry to get from one place to another,we failed to see anything on the way.Air travel gives you a bird's-eye view of the world-or even less if the wing of the aircraft happens to get in your way. When you travel by car or train a blurred image of the countryside constantly smears the windows.Car drivers,in particular, are forever obsessed with the urge to go on and never want to stop.Is it the lure of the great motorways,or what? And as for sea travel,it hardly deserves mention. It is perfectly summed up in the words of the old song:"I joined the navy to see the world, and what did I see?I saw the sea."The typical twentieth-century traveller is the man who always says "I've been there."You mention the remotest, most evocative place-names in the world like El Dorado,Kabul,Irkutsk and someone is bound to say "I've been there"-meaning,"I drove through it at 100 miles an hour on the way to somewhere else."

When you travel at high speeds, the present means nothing: you live mainly in the future because you spend most of your time lookiong forward to arriving at some other place. But actual arrival, when it is achieved, is meaningless. You want to move on again. By travelling like this, you suspend all experience; the present ceased to be a reality: you might just as well be dead. The traveller on foot, on the other hand, lives constantly in the present. For him travelling and arriving are one and the same thing: he arrives somewhere with every step he makes. He experiences the present moment with his eyes, his ears and the whole of his body. At the end of his journey he feels a delicious physical weariness. He knows that sound, satisfying sleep will be his: the just reward of all true travellers.
