Article One: The Magnificent Forbidden City
As I stepped foot into Beijing, I found myself immersed in a world of vibrant history and rich culture. One place that truly captured my attention was the majestic Forbidden City. Stepping through the towering red walls, I was transported back to ancient China, where emperors ruled and dynasties thrived.
The grandeur of the Forbidden City was simply awe-inspiring. Its vast complex of palaces, gardens, and courtyards stretched out before me, showcasing the architectural brilliance of the Ming and Qing dynasties. As I wandered through the intricate maze of buildings, I couldn't help but marvel at the intricate details on every surface, from the vibrant paintings on the walls to the delicate carvings on the doorframes.
Walking along the central axis, I reached the Hall of Supreme Harmony, the largest and most important hall in the Forbidden City. Its impressive size and intricate design symbolize the power and authority of the emperors who once resided here. I could almost imagine the emperors sitting on the imposing throne, surrounded by their advisors, making important decisions that shaped the fate of the nation.
Another highlight of my visit was the Imperial Garden, a peaceful oasis amidst the bustling city. The meticulously landscaped gardens were adorned with ancient trees, elegant pavilions, and tranquil ponds. It was a perfect place to escape the crowds and reflect on the centuries of history that unfolded within these walls.
Beyond its architectural marvels, the Forbidden City also houses an extensive collection of art and artifacts. The Palace Museum, located within the Forbidden City, showcases a vast array of imperial treasures, including ancient paintings, calligraphy, ceramics, and jade carvings. Each piece tells a story of China's rich cultural heritage and offers a glimpse into the lives of the emperors and their subjects.
Visiting the Forbidden City was not only a journey through time but also a profound cultural experience. It allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of China's past and appreciate the immense contributions it has made to the world. The Forbidden City stands as a testament to the grandeur and sophistication of ancient Chinese civilization, and I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to explore its magnificent halls and uncover its hidden treasures.
In conclusion, exploring the Forbidden City in Beijing was an unforgettable experience. Its architectural splendor, historical significance, and cultural richness make it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking to delve into China's extraordinary past. The Forbidden City is a true testament to the greatness of Chinese civilization and a reminder of the importance of preserving and celebrating our cultural heritage.

We have classes about traditional Chinese culture this term. I think it is necessary to have classes because we can get to know more about Chinese culture. In the classes we’ve learned a lot. The teachers show us how to make tea and tell us the history of tea. We also learn paper cutting and we can cut some beautiful paper flowers now. Making Chinese traditional food is my favorite. We are trying to make dumplings and zongzis. It’s really interesting. By having these classes, we not only have fun but also learn a lot. And I’m proud of being a Chinese.

about protect Beijing's environment i breathe in some poisonous element from bad air when I'm walking to school in the street. sometimes maybe we can't realized how bad the weather and what bad air in our life. I think that Chinese have too much cars in their families and bad gas out of their cars. another problem from some factory, they make some bad smog from chimney and our fresh air become less and less. How to protect our environment is a serious problem to us, First, we should not to litter the rubbish anymore, and walking or riding bike instead of driving the car. If we just to do it, it‘ll not longer before the sky become more blue and our air become more fresh.
