Title: The Power of Perseverance

Introduction:

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Today, I would like to talk to you about the power of perseverance. We all face challenges and setbacks in our lives, but it is our ability to persevere that determines our success. Throughout history, many great individuals have demonstrated the power of perseverance, and their stories continue to inspire us today.

Body:

1. Thomas Edison:

One of the most famous examples of perseverance is Thomas Edison. He made over a thousand unsuccessful attempts to invent the light bulb before finally succeeding. When asked about his failures, Edison famously said, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." His determination and resilience eventually led to one of the greatest inventions of all time.

2. J.K. Rowling:

Another remarkable example is J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series. Before achieving success, Rowling faced numerous rejections from publishers. She was even advised to get a day job because writing children's books would not make her enough money. However, she refused to give up on her dream and continued to send her manuscript to different publishers. Today, her books have sold millions of copies worldwide and inspired a whole generation of readers.

3. Nelson Mandela:

Nelson Mandela, the former President of South Africa, is another inspiring figure who exemplifies perseverance. He spent 27 years in prison for his fight against apartheid. Despite the hardships he endured, Mandela never lost hope and continued to fight for equality and justice. His perseverance eventually led to the end of apartheid and his election as the first black President of South Africa.

Conclusion:

The stories of Thomas Edison, J.K. Rowling, and Nelson Mandela teach us that perseverance is the key to success. No matter how many times we fail or face obstacles, we must never give up on our dreams. It is through perseverance that we can overcome challenges and achieve greatness. So, let us be inspired by these remarkable individuals and embrace the power of perseverance in our own lives. Thank you.

franklin delano roosevel in the future days, which we seek to make secure, we look forward to a world founded upon four essential human freedoms.

the first is freedom of speech and expression -- everywhere in the world.

the second is freedom of every person to worship god in his own way -- everywhere in the world.

the third is freedom from want, which, translated into world terms, means economic understandings which will secure to every nation a healthy peacetime life for its inhabitants -- everywhere in the world.

the fourth is freedom from fear, which, translated into world terms, means a world-wide reduction of armaments to such a point and in such a thorough fashion that no nation will be in a position to commit an act of physical aggression against any neighbor -- anywhere in the world.

that is no vision of a distant millennium. it is a definite basis for a kind of world attainable in our own time and generation. that kind of world is the very antithesis of the so-called “new order” of tyranny which the dictators seek to create with the crash of

a bomb.

to that new order we oppose the greater conception -- the moral order. a good society is able to face schemes of world domination and foreign revolutions alike without fear.

since the beginning of our american history we have been engaged in change, in a perpetual, peaceful revolution, a revolution which goes on steadily, quietly, adjusting itself to changing conditions without the concentration camp or the quicklime in the ditch. the world order which we seek is the cooperation of free countries, working together in a friendly, civilized society.

this nation has placed its destiny in the hands and heads and hearts of its millions of free men and women, and its faith in freedom under the guidance of god. freedom means the supremacy of human rights everywhere. our support goes to those who struggle to gain those rights and keep them. our strength is our unity of purpose.

to that high concept there can be no end save victory.

Good morning teachers and fellow students. Today we would like to introduce a few favorite books to you.

My favorite book is(Italian: Cuore). This is a diary written by an Italian boy Enrico. The diary is about his life and study. It included various touching stories that happened around Enrico, the mottos taught by his parents, as well as the wonderful ten "monthly" stories told by his teacher during the class. Every word in the

chapter describes the word "love". From patriotism to friendship, and to the love between parents and child -- really touching.

This novel taught me how to love, and how to learn from love. I

really like this book very much. How about you? What is your favorite book?

My favorite book is. Have you read it before? Oh, I haven’t read this book before. What is it about?

Well, it is a story of a rich girl who maintained her noble character after the bankruptcy of her father. The story is happy ending. Can you tell us why you love this book so much?

Sure. It is because the story taught us to be brave and to face the challenges and difficulties with courage. I am deeply impressed by the strength and perseverance of the little princess in the story. I have decided to learn from her from now on.

Oh I see, the story sounds very good. I cannot wait to read this book as well.
