星期六的那天，我早早的就起床了，第一件事就是洗脸漱口，我用洗脸盆打了一盆子水，然后开始洗脸，许多同学也许想也不想就把水倒掉，对我们家来说，把仅仅洗了脸的水就倒掉多可惜呀!所以呢，我就把水倒在了卫生间的一个大桶里，在冲厕所时，节约了水。该吃早饭了，妈妈每次炒菜都炒得特别少，怕吃不完浪费了，我也十分赞同，想想，农民伯伯种菜多累啊。我在做作业时，口有点渴，就用小碗倒了一碗水来喝，有的同学肯定会想：用一次性杯子多好呀，用完就把它扔了，既方便又实惠。一个杯子也许还不值一角钱，可每天用掉一个，一年用掉365个，一共花去30多元，不是很划不来吗?虽然杯子本身没有毒，可是如果废旧的塑料杯处理不当，产生化学反应，危害就大了，最起码可以使一小块土地几年也种不了庄稼;如果用纸杯，要浪费多少森林资源呢?能省还是省吧!到了中午，妈妈开始洗衣服，洗衣服时免不了要整理家，我也来帮忙，大家一想：这可不能节约了吧!但是，如果真的想节约，那一定是有办法的，妈妈洗衣服的第一道废水就用来洗拖把，因为里面有一定的泡沫，洗拖把再好不过了;第二道水用来擦玻璃，里面有少量的洗涤液，可以把玻璃擦得又亮又干净;最后一道水是最清亮的，可以用来擦桌子，或擦橱台。没错吧，要想节约，还是很有门道的，光这天下来，我家也差不多节约了一吨水，很意外吧!下午，我又开始把煤面和均匀后打成煤球，现在煤的储量还算没到了十分紧张的阶段，但是煤炭资源总是越来越少，所以我们还是需要节约，在用了大的煤块后，剩下的煤面和煤子，可用黄泥、水搅拌后做成煤球，而且煤球也是很耐烧的，搅拌时所要用上的水，在我洗脸时留下的水可派上了用场，这双管齐下，又节约了一笔。
