The local people, who admired him greatly, tried to save him by rowing their boats and beating drums to scare away the fish and evil spirits. To commemorate Qu Yuan, the Dragon Boat Festival is celebrated by racing dragon boats and eating zongzi. The boats, which are usually made of wood and shaped like a dragon, are propelled forward by rowers who paddle to the beat of a drum. The dragon boat festival is here，and my family makes washed glutinous rice，peanuts and black beans first，then soaked them in water，and then cleaned the reed cut the thread into sections，and the preparatory work was done.
At noon，mother fished out sticky rice，peanuts and black beans together，filtered water，sprinkled some soda ash and stirred ，mother rolled two pieces of reed leaves into a top-like shape，filled them with glutinous rice，and then covered the leaves left on ，use the rope to bind tightly，and a zongzi will be mother made dumplings for the first time，the dumplings made by mother are very strange，some of them are like grenades，some are like guns，and some are like candies.
