亲爱的外公：
您好，收到我的信，您一定很惊讶吧?不要奇怪，今天我们就来谈谈吸烟的问题。您一直喜欢“吞云吐雾”，看着您半闭着眼睛，翘着二郎腿，靠在长椅上，嘴里叼着一根烟，一副悠然自得的样子，好像吸烟是享受、是有无穷乐趣的。可是，在您吸烟的同时，是否意识到，你在不知不觉中，已经吸入了多种有害物质，最主要的有害物质是烟焦油和一氧化碳，其中的成因是尼古丁啊!
据研究表明，吸烟习惯的养成主要表现在三个方面：生理，心理和社会。在生理上，就是人体对尼古丁的依赖;在心理上，就是把吸烟当成生活中的一部分，习惯吸烟的动作，喜欢香烟的味道;在社会上，就是把香烟当成一种社交的手段，或者把香烟当成某种身份的标志。
香烟中含有大量的化学物质，绝大多数对人体有害，首先我们来了解一下每根香烟的几个主要成份：
A 尼古丁：一种与xxx、xxx一样容易上瘾的化学物质，当你吸烟时，尼古丁只需10秒钟就可进入你的大脑，使你心跳加快，增加你患上心脏病的危险，同时使你在不吸烟时引发脱瘾症状。
B 一氧化碳：汽车排出的有害气体，可取代人体内15%由血红球负责输送的氧气，造成气喘、体力不足。一氧化碳也会损害血管内壁，导致动脉粥样硬化加重，脂肪沉积在血管壁上，加重血管阻塞，增加心脏病爆发的可能性。
C 焦油：用来铺马路的物质。焦油中含有很多致癌物质和其他化学物质。包括丙酮、DDT砒霜(一种毒药)、甲西醛、氨以及加外4000种有害物质与致癌物质。
香烟中这些物质不但可引起咽喉炎、支气管炎，而且有致癌的作用。吸烟还可以促进动脉粥样硬化和溃疡等多种疾病的发生。
不吸烟者每日被动吸烟15分钟以上定为被动吸烟。被动吸烟又称“强迫吸烟”或“间接吸烟”。所谓被动吸烟时指亿万不愿吸烟的人无可奈何地叭入别人吐出来的夹有大量卷烟毒性物质的空气，可能遭致与吸烟者同样的病症，承受与吸烟者相似的隐痛。在日常生活中绝大多数人不可能完全避免接触烟雾，因而成为被动吸烟者。根据全国吸烟情况抽样调查的结果得知：343563名不吸烟者中，39。75%收到被动吸烟危害。在家中被动吸烟的占67。1%，在工作场所或其它公共场所遭受被动吸烟的占14。44%，每日在家及在公共场所都受到被动烟的危害的占1xxx6%
