悲惨世界英语读后感 篇一
"Les Misérables" is a timeless masterpiece written by Victor Hugo. This novel tells the story of Jean Valjean, a former convict who strives for redemption in the midst of a society plagued by poverty, injustice, and inequality. After reading this epic novel, I have been deeply moved by the themes of love, sacrifice, and the pursuit of justice.
One of the most profound aspects of "Les Misérables" is its exploration of the human capacity for love and compassion. Through the character of Jean Valjean, we witness a transformation from a hardened criminal to a man driven by the desire to do good. His love for Cosette, whom he adopts as his own daughter, is pure and unwavering. This love not only drives him to protect and provide for her, but also motivates him to help others in need. Valjean's selflessness and kindness inspire me to reflect on the importance of love and empathy in our own lives.
Another theme that resonates deeply with me is the idea of sacrifice. Throughout the novel, we see characters making sacrifices for the greater good. From Fantine's sacrifice of selling her hair and teeth to provide for her daughter, to Enjolras and the other students sacrificing their lives for the revolution, these acts of selflessness highlight the power of sacrifice in the pursuit of a better world. It reminds me that sometimes we must give up our own comfort and happiness for the sake of others, and that true heroism lies in the ability to put others before oneself.
Lastly, "Les Misérables" shines a light on the injustices and inequalities of society. The stark contrast between the lives of the rich and the poor, the corruptness of the legal system, and the oppression faced by the lower classes are all portrayed vividly in this novel. Hugo's critique of the social and political systems of his time is a powerful reminder that we must never turn a blind eye to the suffering of others. It urges us to fight for a more just and equal society, where everyone has the opportunity to live a dignified life.
In conclusion, "Les Misérables" is a thought-provoking and emotionally charged novel that delves into the depths of human nature and society. It reminds us of the importance of love, sacrifice, and the pursuit of justice. After reading this literary masterpiece, I am inspired to be more compassionate, to make sacrifices for the greater good, and to actively work towards creating a more just and equal world.
悲惨世界英语读后感 篇二
"Les Misérables" by Victor Hugo is a monumental novel that immerses readers in a world of despair, hope, and the pursuit of redemption. Through its unforgettable characters and powerful themes, this literary masterpiece has left a profound impact on me.
One of the most striking aspects of "Les Misérables" is its exploration of the human condition. The characters in this novel are complex and multi-dimensional, each with their own struggles, flaws, and dreams. From the noble and virtuous Jean Valjean to the relentless and vengeful Inspector Javert, Hugo presents a diverse range of characters that reflect the diversity of human experiences. This depth of characterization allows readers to empathize with the characters, to understand their motivations, and ultimately to question the nature of good and evil.
Another theme that resonates strongly with me is the idea of redemption. Throughout the novel, we witness characters who have made mistakes and committed crimes, seeking redemption and forgiveness. Jean Valjean's journey from a convict to a respected member of society is a powerful example of the transformative power of redemption. This theme reminds me that no matter how dark our past may be, we always have the capacity to change, to seek forgiveness, and to make amends.
Additionally, "Les Misérables" explores the concept of social justice and the plight of the marginalized. The novel vividly depicts the harsh realities faced by the lower classes, the injustices of the legal system, and the indifference of the ruling class. Through the eyes of characters like Fantine and Gavroche, we are confronted with the harsh realities of poverty, inequality, and oppression. This portrayal serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of fighting for social justice and equality.
In conclusion, "Les Misérables" is a timeless masterpiece that delves deep into the human experience, exploring themes of redemption, social justice, and the complexity of human nature. After reading this novel, I am reminded of the power of empathy, forgiveness, and the importance of standing up for what is right. Victor Hugo's words have left an indelible mark on my soul, and I am inspired to strive for a world where compassion, justice, and redemption prevail.
悲惨世界英语读后感 篇三
Today, I read the world of misery, which my mother bought for me, a famous world famous author, Hugo, french. I look after the recall, the content of the story, the plot is very touching, copy from rolia.
This book describes such a story: the protagonist Jean Valjean was a honest worker, always help the poor sister raise seven poor children, one winter can not find work, in order to let the child die and stole a loaf of bread, was sentenced to five years in prison; and because of unbearable bear from four to nineteen years in prison escape, after his release. The charge of the convict was forever attached to him. He could not find a job, even a place to stay. Later he was a bishop of the role of good from evil to change names at work; finally when the mayor, became a millionaire after he set up welfare assistance, happy in doing good, but the law is sentenced to widows and orphans; abuse of innocent, he decided on the court in order not to admit his true name, and to help the orphans and escape the law talons. However, laws can not be him,
not even his social, he worked with the children would misunderstand him, he has already to save, but in the end the loneliness to death, this is the typical tragic tragic world.
After reading the book, I feel that Mr. Hugo through the works to reveal the poor people's tragic fate and expose the darkness of capitalism. In the writings of Victor and Hugo, he has been looking forward to changing the miserable world with universal love, mercy, kindness and forgiveness". Jean Valjean, although later try to help others, to do some good things to make up for his past sins, but people know that he was a convict, do not accept his kindness, it is a heinous villain in the eyes of people. But Jean Valjean did not mind, but still with that good heart to help others. In the end, he died a tragic death, which showed how unfair the society was at that time.
Dedication is the best expression of human nature." In this sentence, I understand that the best performance of human nature is dedication, selfless pay, and no return. It's like parents love us and give their love away. In this book I see the dedication of Jean valjean. Everyone has love. But some people only love themselves, love their loved ones, love all that you have. Jean Valjean's love was given to all poor people, poor people, worthy people and worthy people of respect.
悲惨世界英语读后感 篇四
The book is my good friend, it brings me knowledge, brings me happiness, and brings me a colorful world. Go into the book and share the joys and sorrows with the hero inside. The daughter of the sea to learn tolerance, learn to learn from the good, to wit, defeated the giant small carpenter, to shut the devil back into the bottle to see the fisherman calm; the queen again with snow white, my heart pulling the throat; read the match little girl, I cried...... When you are reading, I forget everything outside, all the troubles are all thrown to the cloud nine.
The miserable world by Hugo, a French writer, is one of my favorite books. The protagonist, Fang Ting, Jean Valjean and Javert Acor match. Where Jean Valjean's life touched me the most, he was born in a poor family, from parents, a sister adopted him, and later jailed for stealing bread, served 19 years as a bishop finally changed his life. He became a mayor and was admired by the people.
There was also a hero, Acor, who impressed me a lot. When he was little, he was supplied by mother Fang in an inn. When she grew up, she was beautiful and had a small cherry mouth. She was very cute. Later, Jean Valjean was taken over and became a nun.
From this book, I see the suffering Fantine, Jean Valjean, their perseverance in fate, wherever they are, believe in themselves, and defeat the fate, happiness and joy. I have learned how a man's destiny is made by himself. If a person is lazy, that was his life can get happiness; if hard work, that he will be doomed to success. If a man meets a setback on the road of life, but fears it, then he can only be a failure; if he beats the setback, he is the winner. We must not fear disaster, but learn how to overcome them. Since then, nothing can stop us.
Hugo said, "if you do not know the pain, you are not a true man." Napoleon also said, "the most difficult time is the day of success.". I think: many things in the world, as long as you want to do, you can do, and overcome the difficulties can also be overcome!
