My Journey to Improve English
This week has been quite eventful for me in terms of my English learning journey. I have been trying to find new ways to improve my language skills and expand my vocabulary. One of the strategies I decided to implement was to read English books every day.
I started by selecting a book that was slightly above my level, but still manageable. I chose "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. Although it was a challenging read, I found myself captivated by the story and the characters. I made it a habit to read at least two chapters every day, using a dictionary to look up unfamiliar words.
To further enhance my understanding, I also watched the movie adaptation of the book. This allowed me to see the story come alive and helped me grasp the plot and themes more effectively. I took notes while watching, noting down any new vocabulary or expressions that I came across.
In addition to reading, I also decided to start writing in English more frequently. I began by keeping a journal, where I would jot down my thoughts and experiences from the day. This not only helped me practice my writing skills but also allowed me to reflect on my progress and identify areas that needed improvement.
To challenge myself further, I joined an online English writing community. Here, I would post my journal entries and receive feedback from native English speakers. Their suggestions and corrections were invaluable in helping me refine my writing style and eliminate any grammatical errors.
Lastly, I made it a point to listen to English podcasts and watch English movies or TV shows with subtitles. This helped me improve my listening skills and familiarize myself with different accents and colloquial expressions.
Overall, this week has been a fruitful one in terms of my English learning journey. I have realized the importance of consistent practice and exposure to the language. By incorporating reading, writing, listening, and speaking into my daily routine, I am confident that my English skills will continue to improve.

Overcoming Language Barriers
This week, I encountered a situation that tested my English speaking skills. I was asked to give a presentation in front of the entire class, and the thought of speaking in front of a large audience made me extremely nervous.
To prepare for the presentation, I spent hours researching and organizing my thoughts. I wrote out a detailed script and practiced it repeatedly to ensure that I was familiar with the content. However, as the day of the presentation approached, my nerves began to take over.
On the day of the presentation, I stood in front of the class, my heart pounding in my chest. As I started speaking, I stumbled over my words and struggled to find the right vocabulary. I could feel the eyes of my classmates on me, which only added to my anxiety.
But instead of giving up, I took a deep breath and reminded myself of all the hard work I had put into preparing for this moment. I reminded myself that mistakes are a natural part of the learning process and that the only way to improve is to keep pushing forward.
I continued with the presentation, focusing on delivering the main points and trying to maintain a confident posture. Despite my initial difficulties, I gradually gained momentum and started to feel more at ease. By the end of the presentation, I felt a sense of accomplishment and relief.
After the presentation, my classmates provided constructive feedback and commended me for my efforts. They acknowledged that speaking in a foreign language can be challenging and appreciated my determination to overcome the language barriers.
This experience taught me the importance of perseverance and resilience in the face of challenges. It reminded me that mistakes are opportunities for growth and improvement. Moving forward, I will continue to work on my speaking skills and actively seek out opportunities to practice and improve.
In conclusion, this week's experience was a valuable lesson in overcoming language barriers. It highlighted the importance of preparation, resilience, and the willingness to step out of my comfort zone. With each challenge I face, I am becoming more confident in my ability to communicate effectively in English.

Welcome to our school! Our school is the key middle school in this city. Now we are in the front gate. Entry in this school, you can see there is a big football playground on the left and a big resturant on the right. If you’re hungry, you can have something good in there. The grand teaching building is right behind the football playground. We spend most time in the classrooms. Behind the teaching building, there is a little lake with many fish in it. Oh, there is also a nice library next to the lake. After the class, we can entry the library freely to read the books we like. This is our school. Don’t you think it’s great?
